ummm...i know this isn't what ur asking but why would u want an mp3 player....??? i think ur spending extra money on a feature that isn't that useful...u can take that extra cash and put it into a better deck....who wants a cd with like 200 tracks! but even so...sony has a deck that is priced reasonably with mp3...i forgot the model number its like $300 - $350....
get the alpine model that GAMITE has..it matches the lights of the interior, and sound quality is amazing, plus it plays mp3s!

Kal, I back up alot of mp3 files from my computer to CD-R. Instead of copying and wasting another CD, I want to just pop my backups into the car. Now, if I had a in-dash screen that plays DIVX ;-) backups we wouldn't need to goto Whisky A-go-go and make maxbimmer meets very interesting *wink*
By far and large the Alpine MP3 is the way to go....not only does it have ever option you need to upgrade a major system later but it turns amber and matches the BMW dash perfectly
