help me decide

Ok, here's the situation... I have a 98 328i, all stock and ~$150 to spend. i have a few options, but there's one necessary thing... i need to change my thermostat. so, here are the options, please post comments and vote:

1. Fan delete kit from understeer + coolant flush + aluminum housing(maybe)
2. Cosmos CAI + stock thermostat
3. "other mod" + stock thermostat

Thanks in advance

you should do the aluminum housing regardless. it may be fine, but do you really want to take the chance in getting stranded with a cracked housing when you have to do the thermostat anyways? it's only an extra 30$

hey, I have an extra aluminum housing, I'll try to find it. You can buy it off me it you want. I bought two, one for a friend but he end up selling his car so I still have it.

I have a Cosmos CAI and i love it. Such a good deal, forget everything else, once u drive your car with the CAI on, u will wonder why u even considered anything else, the sound of it will make u drool . Such a cheap but yet worthy investment. Plus if your just starting out with your car, an air intake is one of the first things you do to just get started, plus about 50x easier to do then fan delete mod. Its up to you but definately the Cosmos CAI is worth every single penny.

I would certainly concentrate on ur cooling system..make sure u dont have one of those plastic impellar waterpumps.cuase of u over heat a aluminum straight 6 cylinder head on a BMW u will be sorry. IMO I would make sure the car is mechanically perfect before you start throwingg mods onto it. Thats how nice cars get ruined when someone spends money on go fast goodies instead of making sure it runs properly
