When did BMW eliminate the M Door Sills and Foot Rests From The M Perform. Pkg?

I currently have an 04 BMW 330i S Mport Sedan and it has the M door sills and the foot rest. I am picking up my new 05 M Performance Coupe this week and noticed that these two pieces are no longer part of the package, yet they are listed on the BMW literature. The sills on my new Coupe are billet appearing, and are stamped with a large BMW. The foot rest is just the regular foot rest. I checked with a couple other cars on the lot with the same package and they do not have them as well, yet they have the M Performance Package.

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this change.

Are you sure it wasn't only the sport package that you were looking at? Not sure why it would be gone. Then again, i haven't payed too much attention to it.

When I was buying my coupe, I remember that my car (325ci) and the 330ci M Pkg had the same sills. But I'm not too sure.

The car is an 05 330 Ci with the M Sport Package. I will be receiving it tomorrow...I can't wait! I will post pics after I get her home and detailed.

Which dealer did you buy it from? And was it the MSport package, or the MPerformance package?

I'm looking at one myself, going to decide this week which one to get.

I purchased the M Performance Package in 6 Speed with Charcoal Alcantara interior. This is my third BMW, and I purchase through The BMW Experience Centre in Whitby. Specifically, Natasha Korkor is the sales person whom I deal with, and she is bar none, awsome to work with. Incredibly courteous, great to respond to questions, and overall, A1. Drop by and see her as they have a couple others in stock, and if you don't mind, make sure she knows that Darren McFarlane referred you.

I can't say enough great things about that dealership...their detailing is top notch - Mike uses Autoglym products and knows how to do a competitive show car detail with no swirls. As well, Arvin and Steve over in service also know the level of cars they are servicing, and I have never received mine back with even a trace of grease or dirt on the interior.

There, my speal is over, but you did ask.

Good luck on your impending purchase.
