Wow.... some poeple on here really are stupid..... although RWD cars are better when it comes to drag, since they have an easier time hooking, thats not to say that it will always take a FWD car off the line!
I have repect for erikIS, cause hes not some jackass that thinks Jap cars own all, he knows hes shitt, cause look at his cars.... he sold his RWD car and kept the type r... thats gotta tell you something. They're amazing cars, and do wonders on a circuit.... the RSX can't touch em!!

okay i have an rsx-s.. an 05 type-s is neck-n-neck with type-r's.. the 05 has type-r cams and a bit better exhaust than 02-04 type-s's.. 02-4 type-s is about .2-.3 slower than a type-r teg... soldomatic.. you don't have a clue about what you are talking about when ever you open your mouth.

I do what i can!
Its true though, look at power versus weight, i've got a few buddies with typee and they never seem to have a problem showing a TYPE S who runs the show! Also, the type r will always be a better choice between the 2 because it is much more exclusive than your busted ass, dime a dozen TYPE S......

Take it easy on Erik IS - his claim was that he could take the E36 M3, which sound's reasonable. Let's whip out the 0-60 chart again, and the numbers for these 2 cars are very close. I was thinking BS too, because I thought E46 M3.
Eric IS - 252!! pretty good - was it pulling still, or kinda like a Civic at 170?

Hehe,
Kev, thanks bro Aschon, must'nt you forget the new 05's gained a nice 100lbs (2960lbs?) in weight. So that 10 hp doesnt factor in that effectlively.
Windwagen, the car pulls all the way up there pretty nice. My 1st gear takes me to 80km/h, 2nd gear to 110ish, 3rd to 155km, 4th to 205km/h, and 5th (210+) climbs DECENT... but 0-200 it just flies REAL quick.
I had 3 people with me in the car too, one of them is a former TT Supra owned (94) and he was amazed by what a n/a 1.8 litre engine could do.. other guy in the back had a Integra GS, and he was just like "What the ****, what the ****... " hahah.
0-60 ratings are different anywhere, its pretty funny how thye rated the 02 RSX-S faster in the 0-60, you can find the ITR rated anywhere between a flat 6.0 to a 7.2.. just like a E36s m3 5.5 to a 6.2...Car and driver gave the 2002 RSX-S a 8.0 and a 16 1/4 mile time, just goes to show depends who and where and how they test. lets stop magazing racing and think logically, compare two power outputs, weight, gears, etc.

I agree that ITR is a quick quick car, and awesome performing vehicle, I jus didnt think it will take E36 M3, wont get spanked, but would lose I believe.
ErikIS , do you know Steve (owner of Japan Auto In T.O.) he does engine swaps alot, he did my all trac engine way back, he has a jap spec ITR, completely diff then the ones here, it looks amazing, and is fast as hell, would spank a E36 M3, but his car is the only one of its kind ive seen imported.

horse power isn't everything. i think both japanese and german car makers have been very sucessful. they're both good, but each is better at different things. the answer to your question depends on what you value more.
