to make a long story short...i have trouble putting the shifter into gear...i think it may be the clutch...when i press down on the clutch all the way i hear a grinding type of noise... ...does anyone know if its the clutch or tranny? and if its the clutch does anyone know where i can get the parts or parts and labour done where it wont cost me a load of money...HELP! thanks
If it's only when you step on the clutch, it's more then likely your throwout bearing, it's what is in between the release fork and the pressure plate. Can you feel the grinding in the
Basically if the throwout bearing seizes it'll start wearing into you pressure plate fingers.
If you haven't done your clutch in a while you should do everything while the tranny is out.
