Better track car - E30 or E36

Think of building a track car, I have a very limited budget. What is your opinion, an E30 or an E36. What makes for a better weekend track car. I do not have a lot of money, so everything has to be considered - maintenance, cost of replacement parts, etc.

Any opinions would be valued.

If this is your first track/race car, DO NOT build it yourself. It's so much cheaper and easier just buy an used one.

E36 has been proven to be a better all round track car....more power...more aerodynamic. The boxxy shape of the E30 is bad.

E36 is a better track car, but for a beginer on a nudget go with an E30.... replacement parts are cheaper to replace they're more common to come across etc.!
