New to the 2002 thing
Hi everyone, although I am a long time Bimmer freak (currently have 9 of them), I am not too familiar with the 2002, however... last night I became the proud owner of a '72 2002 in Inca Orange. The car runs great, the brakes are new, the exhaust is new, tires are like new... and the price was right! It has Exim 13" basketweaves as well... she's a cool little car. Anyhow, just thought I'd post a pic of her here... have a great day!

Welcome
Nice little car.
Make sure you check the following sites for info. The roadfly site has died down quite a bit since the FAQ site was established but the search, old and new archives have tons of good info. You can also ask questions here. LOL.
BTW it's actually "Inka" Orange.

Thanks for the welcome! I also have an '86 325e, an '87 325e, an '89 325is with the ///M package, an '84 528e, a '78 530i, an '89 325i hartge, an '87 325i sedan, and a wrecked '87 325e for parts (with wicked low mileage...)

Thanks for the info... beautiful 1602! which wheels are those? they look similar to my Exims. I actually had a set of momos on my old Fiat X1/9 that looked identical as well...

You need to use the "manage attachments" button below. Then browse to where your picture is on your PC, then upload. Make sure you limit the width to about 800pxls so you can see the whole picture and dumb the image down so it doesn't go over the size limitation set by the site here.

Some updates on 'Heidi'...
First... I'm ruined. Whenever I go to use the turn signals on my E30 now, I turn on my wipers.
The engine runs SO well in this car... and after sorting through some paperworkl in the trunk.. it's probably because it was totally rebuilt 7,000 miles ago... everything is new, even the connecting rods.
I've got all the electrical gremlins sorted out, with the exception of the windshield wiper motor... anyone know where I can get one?
I was pretty impressed by the ability to turn on the parking lights on either side after the car is off... I'm re-doing a Mercedes 560 SL at work that had this option, I couldn't beleive it when my little '02 had the same thing.
I'm going to try my best to make it to the cruise on Oct. 1st... providing I get a chance to do some welding on her (The inner fenders are a bit rough, as is the spare tire well)... but this shouldn't be a problem since I work at a car resto place. I'm actually doing a full resto over the winter, but I'm gonna drive her in the 'as is with some bondo' form right now.
Anyways, I'm honoured to be driving this little automotive gem, I'm keeping her forever!

Try here for parts
http://www.bavauto.com/
Or you can get anything you need from the dealership provided you afford it.
Post the VIN and I can give you details on date of manufacture.

Nope
The green car belongs to my buddy Dave. My car has twin Solex DDH 40s which were the original Alpina A1 set up. Here's a crusty picture. Car is going for paint restoration in a couple of weeks.
