My brother knows Marco. I'm most likely going to go through him as i'd like the job done right and neat. Biggest delima i have is what turbo to go with. I have a super 60 turbo from Chrysler 2.2, and a factor turbo from dodge 2.2. Don't know if that good enough for what I need. I know there good to push 17psi all day long because i was running that in my Omni GLH TII. My brother is running 20psi with a super 60 turbo.

I really want to run intercooler but don't want to loose my A/C. I figure I'm only going to run 9-10psi max, other than that I have to reconfigure motor components.

Thanks for the inputs and comments.

Hi Diego,

Sorry that I did not see your reply sooner. I am here most of these guys are in Canada, I am in the Capital.

The turbo is doing great, I would like to spend more time on my car but so busy working on other peoples BMW's

My project for this winter is to install the 3.5l e34 big six engine and gearbox into my e30 and then build all the stuff, including the manifold, downpipes and compressor plumbing, to turbocharge that. I will double the HP hopefully to 430.

The main goal is to have the car ready for the track next spring.

Your car looks really cool, what are you putting out for HP?
I am building a new site called turboready.com would love to have some of your pics there.

Thanks,

Raphael

Fall Tour

Now back to turbo talk.

I've seen Raphael's setup and it's cool. Very cool.

Imagine how busy you'd be if you slept more.

You can take some of the (older) pics here:

I can PM you links to others. But I'll have better pics soon, after the bumper swap.

Also, do you have that pic you took Saturday?

Whish if I did not have to sleep, it's such a waste of time. Would have been nicer to plug in and boost charge in 5 minutes every 12hrs

Here is a pic from Saturday.

still looking for a good turbo tobolt on to the 524td manifold. Also looking to run intercooler but don't want to loose my A/C. Striker, you interested in possibly doing the work. I have a shop to do all the work, Do you think this could be done on a weekend. I'll pay fuel hotel plus time.
If I know exactly what parts I still need I'll get everything together.

I will have to work with you on this. It will take more than a week end to this properly and to do some trial runs.

I also got your PM.

I am coming up there for a 3.5L m30 engine sometime soon, so maybe we can work something out. I have lots of friends and family in your area, so no need for a hotel.

I have a few turbos you might be interested in, ranging from 350 HP to 450 HP.

I was telling you about how used turbos can be trouble if you do not know it's history. Here is a pic of one which was purchased used for a Daytona which we had to rebuild.

This turbo started leaking oil and sending it down the guys intake. He called us a few days after he installed it asking if I can rebuild it. So we did it. You can see his old complete turbine and compressor wheels and complete cartridge on the left and the one on the right we replaced it with.

Please email me at turboready@vif.com
