Race Helmets

Where can I buy a helmet in the GTA. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, but I want a decent helmet, was hoping for something in the $200 range.

If you don't need a SA helmet you can always go for M helmets (motorcycle) and get something from a motorcycle store like McBrides or Cycleworld

Is your head only worth 200 bucks to you? Buy a good helemt and it will last 5-10 years of use. Just remember one thing don't drop it! Never put any stickers on it either they effect the impact absorbtion properties of the helmet. My Arai cost me about $1100.00 2 years ago but it was well worth it fitament and breathability. If you have to go with an inexpensive one I would recomend an HJC or SHARK you can also sometimes find a good deal on SHOEI.

Keep in mind that SA 2000 helmets can only be used for another 5 years (until 2010). If you wait until october, the SA 2005 helmets are going to come out and those will be good through 2015.

Get SA rated helmets worth it in the long run, M rated is only good for one hit and then it would not protect your head anymore. 200 for race helmet? You can barely get a decent M rated helmet for that price. BELL, SPARCO, ARAI all have SA rated helmets, bell would be the cheapest one.

FYI, check ebay... there's lots of them there, used but usually 1/2 the price. I'll probably get one from JRP (sparco) once the SA'2005 come out. Check their website out http://www.jrponline.com/ then PM me for pricing...
