I had a blast, and everything went well(except my ticket). My car did exceptionally well, and I didn't break anything!!!!! For next season I should have even better brakes, and hopefully will be able to afford a couple of driving schools. For now, PLENTY thanx to Randy, and anyone else who has given me some teachings.
I am looking forward to the next 3 auto X's.

There was a cop hiding just before an underpass. I was following like 3 subarus and all of a suddent they hit the brakes as we're passing him. I look over and see him looking at our cars as we're driving by but he was holding the radar gun in the direction of the oncoming traffic.

That's a hefty ticket there. You should fight it... call X-Copper and try to get it reduced. Its probably around $350.00 for 140 over...

Good luck!

JazzM, where did you get your cams done, I have some coming in soon. I hear it is tricky because of the double VANOS.

Pej, I'm going to be installing them probably after the september driving school. The schricks I picked up when I was in chicago in july. You will also need 24 new rocker arms and do valve alignment at the same time. Its probably best to time it with your inspection I.

Other than that it should be straight forward with the cam locking tool. You just have to be carefull not to advance the VaNoS unit by accident.

I'll be doing this work with my mechanic @ Munich Motors.

Cheers,

T.

I have heard good things about Munich motors. Thanks for the advise. I just want to go somewhere that has done cams before on a e46 M3 motor. I believe I will be getting the same cams you have, the Schrick 280/272.

Yeah, they are in the Keel/Dufferin area. Tel.# is 416 665 1605. Ask for Mike (the owner) and tell him that Tom with the Z3 sent you. His mechanic, Goran is top notch and does amazing work.
