here's my situation...

My front engine mount just got replaced.... i had to put in a stock vw engine mount. The Turn2 Polyurethene mounts I previously had would have taken a few days to come in. Now I have some wierd vibration in the engine in 2nd gear.

Urrgh. We'll see, if anything happens I know Randy, Seb and Terry would be more than happy to push it home with me

gonna go remove the subs etc now... see you guys there!

That was amazing... can't wait till the drivingschool @ Mosport in sept.

It was my frist time @ Shannonville. Though as soon as it gets dark its not that safe any more on the track. I almost went off on the turn inbetween the two back straights.

Otherwise the event was fabulous. Thanks again to Randy for all the pointers and for showing me what the car is capable of on that track.

Now I have more things to get looked at on the car starting with new front bearings. I didn't get around to doing the rear brakes (rotors and pads) though I managed to get the fronts on (rotors and HT-10 race pards) before the event.

Thanks for riding shotgun... (on the track and on the way back)

I can host those for you if you like. There's a T1 here at the office.

It was fun, too bad there was so many people driving in the grass and bringing a lot of gravel on the track, right at the apex.
I didn't do as many km as planned but it will have to do for my engine break in before Mosport.

All in all it was a great event. Great job MpowerK.

One item in particular which bothered me a bit was the marshalling. When a car went off, you could still have people going by but waive them to slow down.

Also perhaps in the future you guys should bring a set of wakie talkies. That way if its something serious and one guy goes out onto the track to investigate they can immediately inform you of the situation.

In one particular case I was following randy driving the jetta on the front straight and as we entered the braking zone I saw a green flag being waved with a car entereing the track. Luckly both randy and I had time to recover and brake harder.

This may have been caused by the late setting sun and the marhals having to look up the track against the sun to see upcoming trafic.

Otherwise all in all a great event and I'll be looking forward to going to more of these in the future...

Regards,

T.
