9.77 is the new 100 meter mark!!
For all you T&F fans, Asafa Powell, the 22yr old from Jamaica just broke the 100 meter record. He ran 9.77 at the place where he bombed last year...Athens Greece. He made it to the Olympic finals but I think his inexperience or immaturity (physically) prevented him from winning or even placing (I can't remember what place he got).
I know this has all runners from the US a little nervous or a little anxious. I can't wait for the World Championships this year!

There are a lot of Asians and Indians in Jamaica. You'd be surprised.
Donovan ran 9.84 at the Olympics in 96...I think. WR at the Olympics is AWESOME.
I knew Asafa had it in him. I was shocked he was beat by Gatlin last year and now I can see that it is all coming together...but so quick!

LOL, I switch sides as I see fit. At school and when the police ask, I'm Chinese. During athletic events and at clubs, I'm Jamaican.

Don't forget about the Chinese Cat that won the 110 hurdles last summer. I saw him at the Prefontaine meet and he whooped Trammel's but again. He's unstoppable at this point. His form is flawless!

He may be but the whole Chinese Olympic team did incredible last year. I think the next Summer Games are in China if I'm not mistaken and the whole world is fearing that they will win the medals race.
Trammel is no slouch. He won the 110 hurdles and 100M dash national title a couple of times while at South Carolina (go Cocks!!).
