Drag Strip

Hey guys, my friends and I would like to hit up a drag strip. We're definitely newbies at track events, as we have never gone before lol. I was wondering what some good 1/4 strips are and how much? Also, where would be awesome! Are helmets required?

Thanks in advance guys.

- Adam

That's what I was thinking.. I would be going with 2 other buddies, one with a chipped GTI and a ford focus. I doubt we will break into the 13's.

- Anyone that knows prices please let me know! Thanks guys!

I'm likely heading down with my Magnum on Wednesday.

We can meet up somewhere and head down convoy.....

Crusher - I think you can definitely break into the 13's. I love M Coupes man, I wish they continued production...

Tony - I won't be able to make it wednesday... I usually get home around 730pm from work (I'm working for my uncle - he's a slave driver!)

To both CRUSHER and TONY - I will DEFINITELY pm you guys when I plan on going down. It would be nice to put a face to a username! Thanks so much for the help guys.

Yeah, I was there on Friday, it was too cold (11-12ļC), everyone was complaining about slippery conditions. I've never been able to peel out all of 2nd and chirp into third before.

14.43 was my best, which sucks because it was slower then last years run (14.19). Next time I'm just going to take the slicks.

There were some pretty insane cars there though, also, that E46 m3 that won bimmercruise best of show was there running as well.

Agreed. That's a pretty damn good run. I'm just hoping to break the 14's with my bone stock 330ci.

So it's only $20? How many runs do we get?

Well, that all depends on how early you get there, and how many other people are also there. I got in 10 runs, but I could have got in a lot more runs had I gotten there right at 7pm, stayed later, and not went into the bleachers for a while. Plus one of the cars spewing coolant everywhere didn't help either.

Basically unless the place is rammed, you'll be able to do more runs then you'd like.

Awesome! I'm going to let my friends know, and talk to them to decide on a good weekend or night to go.

P.S. I will post on here when I will be going, so that if anyone else would like to join they can
