The following laptop is a Compaq Presario X1000 (Model# X1460CA).

This was just purchased late last week (May 29th - June 4th).
This notebook/laptop is Brand New with the Original OEM Factory Compaq box, including all the software (software recovery cd-rom, windows xp home edition cd-rom, microsoft office software, compaq back-up software applications cd-rom, etc.) All the packaging and everything that comes in the box.

I will also throw in a Blue Logitech Notebook Optical Mouse & a 4-port Belkin USB 2.0 hub. Great for multiple USB 2.0 peripherals that you will be connecting to this great, quiet, small, light, lightning fast laptop.

It was given as a GIFT.

Please note, it is also BRAND NEW. I just turned it on to make sure everything is working well.

Then just ask for the reciept and return it. That's what I'd do. It doesn't make any sense to sell it for a lot less then it's worth.

If you think it's disrespectful to ask for the reciept, it's jusst as disrespectful to return such and expensive gift. Then again you could say you need the reciept for warrenty reasons.
