BMW car chase scenes
Can we get a list of movies that showcased a BMW in a chase scene? After we get a list of them, let's see which ones were the best or rate em as you post em.
1) Gone in 60 Seconds- BMW 5series vs GT500 (mediocre, seemed like a 530i)
2) Nothing But Trouble- BMW 7series vs Cop (aight)
3) Ronin-some site says there was an M5 but I really can't remember it.
Just saw a trailer...I don't think it was an M but it was a 5 series. I liked when she kept flashing her high beams through traffic. Too bad traffic didn't move out of her way. Who can drive 100mph through traffic, changing lanes and have time to flash slow pokes?

The Transporter (Can't believe you forgot about that one)
The E34 in ronin was a 535 or something. Definately wasn't M5.

I didn't forget the Transporter...just couldn't think of the name. Bad acting but good chase.

lol, I don't think I could consider that movie bad acting. There wasn't that much acting in it. The movie was mostly car chasing and fighting. Not that I'm complaining. I liked it.

Gamite- glad I didn't pay to see that movie. Although, some of the action was good...the driving was so much better.
Maxx318i- I will have to watch that movie again. I saw a trailer of that movie and it just didn't seem like an M.

Its not an M5, I have the movie here, it only has an M5 badge, no side skirts, or bumpers.
I'm surprised you saw that movie so many times and still thought it was an M5. There's even a scene where you can see the gauges, and it doesn't have red needles.

So why do they change the badges on cars in the movies? Was that a true S8?
I love when they do things in cars that you know can't be done because they add some HP, suspension or other tricks. Like how Reese was whipping that El Dorado around in Terminator. Steppin on the E-Brake and sliding through the turns. It makes me laugh.

I dunno, I thought it was really weird too. It woulda made more sense to just leave the badge off. I don't know about the S8, I don't know enough about audi's to tell the difference.

the S8 is real, it hd the badges, the aluminum mirror housing, exhaust tips & bodykit. most of the time they change the badges because there isn't a point in wasting a collector car if they can get away using a lower model & just put a badge on it, like those BMW short films, the film Star they use a M5 in scenes when the car isn't moving, but when it comes down to scenes where they might damage the car like the airbourne scene the car was 528/530
