Attn ASP programmers. I need a good

asp site where I can learn the basics and a few tricks.
Im quite familiar with html and scripts. I'd like to create an interactive website.
Im leaning towards using asp rather than php.

I imagine there are hundreds of these ASP tutorial sites and that makes it more difficult to choose the really good ones specially to a non-expert like me. I'd like to learn asp and spend my time on one or two tutorial sites based on your recommendations.

ASP is an obsolete technology. It would be a waste of time to learn it.

Learn ASP.NET (and all the goodies that come with it), it is a much better platform for data-driven web sites.

asp.net uses the microsoft .net framework. its pretty cool i must admit. personally i hate php, but for small scripts its 100x better then asp.net

Whats wrong with PHP?

PHP is usually associated with linux. You can get a Apache/mySQL setup going for free if you know what you're doing.

I came from cgi, so php was almost a walk in the park...just my 2 cents...

I can honestly say I've never looked at the benefits of asp.net. I'm just not a big microsoft fan.
