Nah, a base model Integra would walk away from the eta unfortunately.
You need:
1: Motor swap (minimum M20B25!)
2: Resize your sig
The second one is a little more urgent.

gearing sucks major a$$ on a GTP...newer model ('04 and up) have alot better gearing..i struggled with my fairly modded '99 GTP against mildly modded '04 until i hit 3rd gear...
but i bet I would spank that GSR silly anyday
off topic here a little but what does '99 540ia run on a 1/4 mile, 14s?!

"Best?" An LS6 with an intercooled Lingenfelter twin turbo kit.
It all depends on budget. A basic M50 swap will cost $3-6k, depending on how much labour you take on and how new the swap parts are. The stock M50 will break you into the 14's, but it still sounds like that GS-R has some hidden balls.

I raced a buddy's GTP with my 540-6 from a standstill. Traction was my biggest issue, but when I hit 100kph, I only had 1/2 a carlength on him, and was only crawling ahead when we had to shut down. He told me that he would expect to get raped by the 5 when above 100 kph. Suprisingly, the GP is very good off the line, even with FWD, because of all the motor weight over the drive wheels.
My 540 has eaten GP GT, and various other 3.8l GM products like they were standing still. Usually, my 1st gear is weak and we will be side by side until the tires hook up....see yah...

i was tie with a GTP last week @ cayuga, we bothr an 14.5s .. he musta been modded?
There was a dude in a gsr that ran 16.0 flat.... then there were RSX-S with hondata #4 /i/h/e all done to the tits runnin 15s-16s....1 ran 14.8... i expected MUCH more! i felt like god considering i only have an AEM intake.. my launching owns j00! =D
GSRs should run 15.5+.. which is faster than a GT.
