I already have 10mm spacers for the front so i think ill be good there. Would the 17x10 really poke much more than the 17x9? I will be lowering as far as possible on coilovers so turning may be an issue with 10j on the front. Not entirely sure though. Thanks again
Yes, the 8.5 fronts are a much better option. 10s are just too much for a non-M E30 front.

The rims aren't custom, they only offer certain set sizes, no?

Thanks Jay, 205/55 sounds like the best choice for my car.

I think TunerShop can bring them in but they are a little pricey.

What is the smallest spacer i can run on the front (17x8.5 +30)?

And what are the best tire sizes front and rear?i was thinking 205/40 f and 225/45 r. Any other options? Im trying to put fender right on rim. Thanks

Looking to get some wider tires to fit a set of 16"s. Wheels are 16x7.5 ET35. Currently running 8mm spacers all around. Would 225/45r16 work? Or should I get some wider wheels?

10mm. 205/40 F 215/40 or 225/35 R.

225/45 is perfect for 7.5". You could even run a 15mm spacer with those tires and wheels and still not rub.

You're the man.

For the rear tire, which will have the best clearance and the best protection for the wheel? Im not a fan of ridiculously stretched tires, but dont mind a subtle one for some poke and a little more room for better fitment. The current setup i have is 215/40 on 17x9, which is about perfect for me. What will be the closest to that?

Nothing that will fit under an E30 body afterwards. 17x10 requires insane stretch.

Well since we are on the topic...
Fronts are 17x8.5 et 20
Rears are 17x10 et 20 also I believe. Tire size and spacers required? I test fitted the rears with a 5mm spacer and bairly cleared the strut and trailing arms lol also looks like ill need moar low lol.
Might be a silly question, but can a functional tire be ran with these rim specs? Thanks jay.

Which will be the safest stretch and still allow for clearance in the e30? And what are the differences between the stretch in 215/40 and 225/35 on 17x10?

Would 225/40 be out of the question for 17x10 and still go fender to rim?

205/40 F 225/35 R. No spacer in the rear. Tires will be ungodly stretched in order to fit.
