yeah i wanted to do that, i bought a set for cheap, i had them refurbished and then i found out that the 3 inch lps are... well pricey

so i'll stick with stock lips this year i guess

but i agree, 3 inch lips on RM on an E30 is gorgeous

16" Hocks.

To bring it close to the fender I could go 20mm right? That'll be +15.
Yeah, stagger them though. 15F/20R spacers.

Would 17x9 +25 offset fit on the rear of a E30? What would be the best offset on a 9" rim for the rear? thanks

Yup, that's about perfect. Now what tires you want to run is the question. With 215/40/17s stretched on you won't need to do much if any fender work. If you wanted a "proper" sized tire then you're looking at some extra mods.

Thanks! Would you run 17x8 +20 or 17x8 +25 in the front?

+25 one would have a nice stance with the rear 17x9. And it's easier to add a 5mm spacer than regret buying a too-low offset.

Most 4-bolt Nissans were 4x114.3, so they'd only work with adapters. Not exactly cost-efficient.

oh the rims are 4X100 and 4X114.3 so they have the proper bolt patern.

57.1mm. Just about all of ESM's stuff will fit E30s without any rings, spacers, or new bolts; I helped them out with fitment quite a bit, and they have a great direct-fit selection now. Every wheel but the last one is E30-specific.

Time for another newb question. These are the specs for the wheel:

Sizing and Specifications
Rim Diameter: 17 inches
Rim Width: 7 inches
Bolt Pattern (Number of Holes): 4
Bolt Pattern (Pitch Circle Diameter): 100 millimeters
Offset: 42 millimeters
Hub Bore: 73.10 millimeters

I've got an '86 325e that I'd be trying to put them on. Any chance I'd be in luck? Or what could I do to "make" them work.

Thanks ahead of time!

20-25mm spacers all around and 73.1-57.1mm hubcentric rings. 215/40/17 tires.

Sweet. So I'm assuming the spacers make up for the offset and the hubcentric rings make up for the massive center bore of the aftermarket wheels. That makes sense. Any suggestions on where to get such things? Thanks again.

As you can see, I joined the forum back in '04 when I got my Bimmer as a college graduation present. I was gungho on fixing it then but for whatever reason I didn't really get anywhere with it. Needless to say, I never posted here until earlier today, thus I might as well just be a newb.

Anywho, I've got a few really good friends, their dad, and his nice shop for encouragement to get this beast running (6-7 years later!) and we've already made some decent progress. If I were to make a thread about my project for pics and updates, what section should I put it in.

And thanks a ton for the help with the wheels!
