I've looked, and it looks like there are some really good tires available. Still kinda interested in a better looking wheel, hopefully 16",....still having very little luck finding just the right thing and price. I'm just going to have to break down and up the budget.
*sigh*

But I do highly appreciate the advice!

I'm looking into a set of 15x8 Axis(OG) Old School wheels. ET25.
Are these a direct fit? The website that I found them on, says they will fit, http://www.kxwheels.com/wheel.php?q=...5pc2giOiIyMCJ9but i'm still skeptical. Could you also tell me what tire size tire would be best? I'm thinking something beefy and non-stretched, since the offset isn't very low. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm not droped at the moment, but am considering putting some eiback prokits on, since i'd assume it would just look silly at stock hight

Thanks

They will need 3mm spacers to clear the front struts. Nothing in the rear.

If you want no stretch 225/50/15 will do it, but you WILL be spending a lot time with a heat gun and fender roller. Try to find a pic of a car with 15x8s and 225s, they're WIDE (much wider than 225/45/16 on 16x8s).

205/50/15 would be a lot easier, but you will see a little sidewall pull.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm not too keen on running spacers, or rolling my fenders, unless i have to. If i went for the stretched look, i'm assuming i'd still have to run a spacer right? Iguess 3mm is no big deal.

What tire size would you reommend for a good stretched look? I know i said i wanted something meaty, but mabe stretched is the better way to go with these wheels.

Thanks again

if you want more stretch just go 195/50/15, a 205 will be square with an 8 inch rim, but depending on what brand and what profile it will either look stretched or not. On my car I have a set of no name 195/50/16 on my 16x8's and they dont look to stretched but at the same time a 205/45/16 would look either the same or more stretched depending on what brand tire.

p.s I'm no expert, double check with mystikal

Steve

Yeah, you'd still need the spacers. As I said, I recommend 205/50/15 for those.

What's the front offset? ET20 or ET35?

If it's ET20, then 205/45/16 front and 205/40/17 rear (with heavily rolled rear lips). If it's ET35, then add 20mm spacers on the front and use the same tire sizes.

its et20 but yeah I was either gunna use my old 195/50/16's or get some 205/45r16's. For the rear thats what I thought but want to check, so by heavily rolled does this mean I should cut out the inner lip mabe?will I have problems with rubbing?

Steve

P.s any idea what spacer would make the fronts sit flush? or even poke a bit, I was thinking 10mm, but considering my 16x8 et15 is far from poking maybe I could use a 15mm up front with the 7.5's?

Just a flat roll should be enough for the rear.

For the front, I'd go 15mm, especially if you're running 195s. That still won't poke out, either.

14 Basketweaves to fit 85 318i e30?

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, anyway i found a sweet set of 14" basketweaves that i want to get tomoro, they have been decribed as " bmw E30 BBS 14 inch, 4X100,sitting on my E30,et 30" so i did some googling, i think they are 6 1/2j
while the stock wheels i have at the moment have "5 1/2j" stamped on them. Is this an issue or will the wheels bolt straight on? thanks guys.

205/50/16 is the most popular size, it's the stock diameter and there are lots of tire choices.

You can also run a 225/45/16 without any problem for more grip.
