Question CD changer problem!!

the radio unit doesn't recognize the CD changer and when i press the "BAND" buton, only "FM" and "AM" are shown and the "CD" option is not coming up anymore, the "eject/open" button on the CD changer unit in the trunk doesn't eject the magazine, but the red light on the button is on when the car is on!!! .. wut could be the problem?!! ... everything worked fine before!!!

It might be dirty contacts, or it might be a problem with the changer itself.

If you find that it is the changer, I have a stock CD changer in my car (E36), its missing the magazine, so Im taking it out. If you want it you can have it for $20.
