Bimmers are OK at everything and top of the class at nothing.

Tis' true. But they are good all-around vehicles. No 'justification' required.

Now here's man who gets it. You should frame that ^ and send it to BMW AG.

I think you got it ass backwards dude.. the echo is a echo of a real car.
BMw's are built for a purpose and need no justification
echo's & washing machines have a purpose to; to be used as appliances.

if you have to ask you'll never know..

that was pretty funny

True...BUT.....

BMW... not as reliable as Toyota, lexus, etc. BUT they are usually ugly, made of cheesy plastic, and most of all, can't perform like a BMW in the racing sense. Sure they are more fragile then Toyota or Honda, but everything in the world that's worth something is fragile.

BMW... not as luxurious as mercedes...BUT BMW is cheaper then most of their fleet, what do you expect?

BMW... not as fast as domestic cars in a straight line BUT who the hell would want to race in a straight line anyways?

BMW... not as good in the twisties as a subaru BUT, not true. If you would like proof that the M3 is faster around a track watch TopGear video "E46 M3 v Audi S4" and look at the times. M3 and S4 are a second away from the Murcielago.

BMW... not as cheap to buy as *.ahellofalotofcars BUT there's too many "a hell of a lot of cars" on the market, so that's irrelevant.

Now I'm not trying to stick up for BMW and say they are the best, because they aren't. Each company has their own pros and cons, and so does BMW, but if all of you on here hate BMW and think they are shit, then why do you own one? Why do you continue to drive it? Why didn't you sell it after you had "all 10000" of your problems?

BMW's are great cars, hence why I bought one. True every now and then you hear a horror story, such as that which started this thread, but you cant judge the whole line of BMW based on one bad experience or even one bad car.

Everything has its pros and cons. Nobody needs to justify anything to anyone. Personally I don't like modified civics aka Sewing Machines, they look and usually sound like tins cans. Sure they might be great to tailor your pants, but those doors which are almost as thin as cheese slices wont save anything when being T-boned.

The idea of a track car is completly different. The cost of the car, a motor swap and parts, your laughing at all these other guys dumping $1000's of dollars in their cars. Its super light, with fast possibilities, and hell if you blow it up, you shovel up the mess, throw it in a garbage bag or recycling box and go buy another one. Every car has its purpose, and different people have different priorities.

I've owned 2 celicas, and the cost of repairs, drove me to the ground.

Not entirely true.

Porsche is more reliable than Toyota/Lexus
3 series is more luxuries than C class.
new M5 as fast if not faster than most domestics
I don't know where you get that whole subaru idea, but they dont handle that well. Infact SRT4 is faster around the track than WRX.
Last one is true though.

P.S. Porsche is the perfect car IMO
Very reliable, pretty luxuries(new ones), handle like a dream, not that fast straight line, but still pretty quick, handle like a dream, and pretty affordable.

I said it wrong, not affordable, I mean well priced.
GT3 goes for 120k.
645ci goes for 105k
GT3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 6 series

damn, you right Porsche is not #1 anymore.
Im pretty sure Im the one who posted JD Powers reports when Porsche was number 1 but cant find it anymore.

But JD Powers reports do not really show quality or how reliable car is.
The way it works is that owener complain what they dont like about the vechicle.
Hummer is at the bottom not because its falling apart, but because its a gas guzzler, Mini is at the bottom because cupholders do not sized properly.

Every car has its problems.
Edwin's cousin's Acura TL also had it tranny changed because it failed.
In my bro's boss' SC430 pretty much everything started to break, power top, deck, heater and much more.

In fact last the most reliable car I've seen or heard was 1992 VW Passat, nothing ever broke on it, every other car my friends or family had, had problems.
