the betas are all over BT if anybody feels like trying.

and not official minimum specs but MS recommends:

I know the Longhorn interface is very graphicly intensive, but those specs seem a bit to high.

Yeah, its pretty sweet, this beta I've been running is solid as a rock - the 3D graphics are amazing, I've got copies if anybody wants one . . . .

Doesn't longhorn use any GPU power? Funny how they didn't recommend a decent graphics card. Anyways, it pretty much looks like a mix of OS X, gnome and kde.

Yes Longhorn is going to need some wicked GPU muscle. Better pick up a 6800 or XSeries cards. Its going to get pricey.

It looks good, but I'm kinda dissapointed, I was hoping it would compete with OS X more. Have you guys seen that platform? I haven't seen longhorn first hand, but it doesn't look as impressive.

most video cards are only high end for 3D graphics.

as for the specs, i think they mean pentium 3 and up not 3ghz lol
