Any Star War Fans here?

I've never been into these movies nor the lord of the rings but figure i should give them a go and see what all the fuss is about. Now the LOTR is easy to figure out, watch 1-3, simple.

Now with star wars, it seems number 4-6 came out before 1-3 did so that's kind of strange. So what order should I watch these things? Should I go 1-6 or should I go by the year its released?

i get a hardon when I see the Star Wars episode 3 trailers.

something about clone troopers fighting droid armies, giant space battles with star destroyers and fighter squadrons litering the entire screen, blaster fire everywhere, jedi masters...

man. i cant wait for this movie..

oh and if you've heard the radio comercial, about the moment everyone is waiting for. Darth Vader, and his breathing/talking.......
oh god....... 2 weeks!!!

is that why its the most anticipated movie of the year?

is that why George Lucas has millions of fans?

is that why George is swimming in pools of money?

Star wars is probably one of the largest movie franchises on this planet. I dont think there is a single human being on this planet that doesnt know of star wars.
Many people dont like science fiction, thats only because they lack in imagination.

Not necessarily...I like to read some sci-fi books, like for example, I loved the Chrysalids, and some other stories I cant recall right now, a lot from Ray Bradbury though. But I'm not interested in seeing Star Wars...although i'm being forced to go with my bf lol...

For that matter, fantasy stories require imagination too, and some people love fantasy, but don't like sci-fi.

I think it's just a matter of taste or opinion.

You complain about not understanding these movies or that they were boring but dont see the ones that came before them to set them up. I am especially talking about ROTK which you really need to see the first two befroe that movie.

Ep 456 are very good. Ep 1,2 seemed like marketing ploys to try and sell toys/products.
