Brother both our Jap POS would rape him

That is why it is so funny. Could you imagine what an EVO and a Boosted Miata would do to him on any autoX, Circ Track, 1/4 skid pad or whatever.

Your comments are really funny and sad at the same time.

Let's look at your car from a value perspective.

1995 BMW 3 Series 318i 4D Sedan
Low: $3,503.00 High: $5,743.00
That's with Auto and 150,000 KM. The Canadian black book
doesn't even cover a 1994.

2002 Mazda Miata SE 2D Convertible
Low: $18,401.00 High: $19,501.00
That's with 50,000KM and assuming no leather or Auto.

Big difference in price there. I'd say the Miata is a way better car when considered current value.

I'd take the Miata in a heart beat over an auto 318!!!! I wouldn't even consider a 94 318 as my daily driver/winter car.. In the Canadatrader.com, for BC, several 318i are going for $6000-$7000. That's it!

You're not going to win any "status" points here on a car that anyone can afford. I spent more on my winter/daily driver that this car is worth. Let us be realistic here. Just because you are driving a 10+ year old BMW doesn't mean you are rich, or important. There is no status associated with it.

You are also driving an automatic, which robs what little power this 4cycl 1.8 engine has. I myself found my 318is 1.9l 5spd manual really slow. I did however, buy it for the M Type Sports II suspension package that the car had; It handled awesome. I don't see your car having that either.

If you're going for status, just put a Dual exhaust muffler on and slap on a 325 badge on it.

Let's look at it from a performance point of view.

1991 BMW 318is 0-60 10.0 1/4 mile 17.3sec
1992 BMW 318i 0-60 9.7 1/4 mile 17.2sec
1994 BMW 318is 0-60 10.1 1/4 mile 17.5sec

17+ Seconds for the quarter mile!!

1999 Mazda Miata 0-60 7.9 1/4 mile in 15.9
2001 Mazda Miata Mx5 0-60 7.6 1/4 mile in 15.9

It looks like the Miata has this 318 beat! Not to mention what the Miata speed or this supercharged miata would do to you.

The only fact that you use to say the miata is a POS is that it's not BMW. That's not enough!!! That's a silly and foolish comment to make just because a car is not a BMW or is Japanese.

You would seriously take a rusted out 318 over this? With your ignorance, you might actually do it. I considered my 97 318 a POS. It was slow, and such a lemon. There are so many cars faster than my new 325 as well. I love the handling, rear while drive, and the inline 6 is pretty good. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to buy another BMW this year or wait for the new Lexus coming out.

Enjoy your 318 for what it is; but nothing more. Just because you drive a 94 318 (Auto) doesn't mean you have "arrived".

I really hope you didn't buy the 318 as a status symbol. From an automotive sport, you should be driving and owning your car because you truly enjoy it. You should also apprecriate other cars that have good power and handling; there are tons of good cars out there, and many not from BMW.

Let's cover the Basics.
BMW != BEST Always
JAP != RICE ALWAYS
BMW != FASTEST CAR on the Road.

Open your eyes to all the awesome cars out there; stock and modified.

Peace
