has anyone had any luck removing the cats for some quick hp? if so what were the results? with so little bang for the buck does anyone know of any tricks to pull power out of this car? outside of spending $3500 4 cold air intake or $2000 for exhaust or any other over priced mod.

i own a 04 m3 ti silver 19" rims smgII dinan stage 1 software upgrade(good results)

bank for buck?

Best one that is guaranteed is to always catch TAILWINDS! Will work. 100%

E46 M3's are tuned to the point that people are having difficulty getting 'real' extra power out of the engine. Besides going FI that is.

$3500 for CAI? Sounds quite high doesn't it?

Good luck. Car's sweet as is IMO. I know, I know, we all want more....

always looking for more hp!

superchargers are $8,000 out of the question i just need to buy some time until the 07 m3 comes out.The cai and exhaust prices are dinan.I'm getting frustrated when these ricers are getting 500hp out of there cars for $5000. But yes i truly do realize how fortunate i realy am to own a m3(thank god).

chances are you wont get a lot out of performance mods, bmw has already done that, only thing for significant hp gains would be a supercharger. cai (gruppm for example) should be about $1000 i believe? most mods for e46 m3 are not for hp but for braking, suspension, and aerodynamics.

headers, cats, and midpipes, and exhaust, you will get about 25 hp right here.
