me vs. 545i
I was leaving work around 6:30pm lastnight and as I approached the red lights, there was this 545i (E60) that pulls up next to me. The guy looked to be in his 50's and was dressed like a exec. He looks at me and raises his thumb. I'm thinking, WTF, I'll get smoked! But I decided to do it anyways, the lights turn green. I actually had a better start then him (maybe his was auto) but as soon as I hit 6500rpm in 1st gear, the 545i jumped. There was a truck in front of him, so he changed into my lane. We pulled up to the next lights side by side, and I gave him the thumbs up. He smiled and waved as he left me behind following the dust trail on the open road. This time ofcourse I dared not race him.
I need more power! Maybe time for a turbo??

My Dad's 545i is coming in next week. Should be fun , good thing I'm home from school now, and 6-speed this time (not 5-spd auto like his E39). Leasing cars is great, use 'em, abuse 'em, and give them back for a new model.

It's nice to see that the older folks are getting into the action.
Nice run.
