I like the old one better, the boxy look suited the car more.. I don't mind the tail lights though.

I liked the exterior styling of the old one better too, but I also like the look of the new one too. Sat in the new one at the auto show and it definitely felt and looked better on the inside though.

i personally like the newer one a bit more, it looks more aggressive then the last gen jetta but it is a little too rounded for me.

except for the fact its a vw, not else wrong with it. Hopefully the quality is actually in this model and it won't be a mechanical poop pot like the previous gens.

I was looking at the genIV for awhile and I really liked it until I was in a new Jetta in January fitting up a body kit in Michigan (VW/Audi Tech center). This new Jetta has some really nice features, along with a great looking and well finished interior...you know what you have to look at when you’re stuck in traffic everyday! One feature I found quite convenient are the vents going into the glove box and the center console, so when you have the A/C on in the summer, you basically have a mini fridge in your car...apparently it works great!
Yes, I know, this new version has some Corolla proportions, but it's grown on me and I find it a nice improvement over the previous generations.
The new Jetta uses an Audi wheel offset now, so you can't really interchange wheels with other older VW wheels.
Here's the Body Kit and Rear Spoiler we're supplying for the North American Market.
(Sorry ...these are only available through your local VW dealership)

the air vents in the glove box and middle compartment are nice, i drove one the other day, and the steering column comes from the phantom and the engine is the same one as the gallardo so it has some potential in mods and what not, it drove nice, im waiting for the 2.0t 200 horses coming out in a few months, i told my mom to hold off till then, but driving it is nice, very responsive, love it

Sure it will be the same as older gen. Their still built in Mexico for the North Amercan market.
Good when new but sell it before the 4yr mark.

It looks like a Corolla......... i thought i'd never say that.
Inside it's nicer, got the whole A4 interior thing going on, i love the previous Jetta's much more. Looked racier and stable on their feet.
She should go for the previous TDI.
