PSB 6T Mains:
This powerful combination of three 6.5-inch woofers and the Image tweeter takes the impact of music and movies to peak levels. It is hard to imagine any likely use in any likely home listening/viewing room that will stress this speaker or cause it to lose any of its "you are there" detail. This is a speaker for high demands, even in big listening rooms.
PSB 9C Center
Larger than the 8C center channel, the Image tweeter in the 9C combines with two 6-1/2" woofers to provide full-range, high-output center-channel sound. Its aptitude for clarifying even the most elaborate, demanding, many-layered soundtracks includes the ability to handle very loud levels in large rooms.
PSB 2B Rears
The Image 2B is a two-way, ported design using a 6.5" woofer and a 1" ferrofluid-cooled aluminum-dome tweeter. Frequency response is rated by the company as going from 49Hz to 21kHz +/- 3dB (measured on-axis). Anechoic efficiency is rated as 89dB/W/m, and the impedance is said to be 6 ohms nominal, hitting a 4-ohm minimum. PSB recommends the use of amplifiers rated from 10 to 100Wpc. Each speaker weighs 15 pounds, measures 8"W by 15.25"H by 11.75"D
PSB Subsonic 6i 12" Subwoofer
The PSB SubSonic 6i powered subwoofer completed the system. The 6iís class-H amplifier is rated to deliver 225W continuous with a dynamic peak rating of 600W. The subís 12" cone is made of polypropylene and has a rubber surround and a 53-ounce magnet. The 6i measures 20" high by 15" wide by 20" deep and weighs 46 pounds. One thing I like about this sub is its front-mounted volume and crossover controls (continuously variable from 50 to 150Hz), which made it much easier to adjust than by having to crawl behind it. On the rear panel are controls for setting phase, an On/Off/Standby switch, line-level RCA inputs and outputs, and speaker-level ins and outs.
