Damn....

See the stats, Under 5, 0 to 60, wet or dry...

Mid 13's quarter mile....

.9 on the skid pad....

Damn, watch out E46 M3's.....

But what impresses me is the 0 - 100 - 0 times....19 secs.
That truck can brake as well as it can accelerate!

Seriously, I'd take a 4.8iS over it anyday. I'm not the biggest fan of HEMI engines - I think they're way over rated. I love the 300C though!

Over 400 HP/Torque and it's over-rated?

Do you know this engine makes more torque than the new M5's V10 engine?

Can propel a 4000+ lbs. SUV as fast as an E46 M3?

And all at a price where the average Joe can afford?

And you consider it overrated????

Remind me to never use your advice in dabbling in the Equity Markets....

Well, its a 6.1l engine vs BMW's 5 and BMW has 100 more hp, so yeah, not as exciting. It sure is a cool SUV though.

Buddy that's my opinion, you can take it or leave it, I don't care. I'm just sayign that I think the hemi engines are out dated with their design and that there is a reason why engine development departed from the hemispherical design. I realize that the numbers are fantastic and performance is exceptional as well, but I simply prefer alternatives in the market, that's all. Sorry to knock you if you felt that way. I wouldn't want to use your advice on anything anyways.

Some people try to re-invent the wheel.

Others take what works, and perfect on it.

I can understand that you may prefer another form of engine design, ie. prefer a high revving engine, a FI'ed motor, etc.
I have my preferences, but I don't then call the other form of engine topologies 'under-rated'. Every engine design has its advantages and disadvantages.

But to call it 'underrated' requires tangible and concrete reasons why, which you have yet to provide.

He said overrated

Anyway Tony, I kinda agree with him, all you can here now from Chrysler is HEMI this, HEMI that. They are just using it for marketing reasons and to attract customers thats were kids back in the day when HEMI was infact fastest thing on the street.
But these days 415hp out of 6.1l isnt that good. But, it is a very affordable power

Your right that it is marketing.

Chrysler's in business to sell cars.

I think it was a stroke of marketing genius, which the Domestics don't usually exhibit.

I paid my Maggie, with a V8, about what it would have cost me for a mildly optioned 320i. (I cancelled my order for a 325i for the Maggie).

And you have to admit, that the affordability of this motor to provide the power it does, is undeniable.
