Still some spots available for Advanced Driver Traing @ Mosport, April 23 -24

I received an email saying there are still a few spots available (as of Thursday )

You can read about the program here:

http://www.trillium-bmwclub.ca/trill...DriverTraining

The purpose of BMWCC driving schools is to instruct students in the art of advanced driving technique. Whether you have attended our schools before, or other similar schools, you can be assured that there is always more to learn and experience.

You can expect to polish skills through excellent in-car instruction. Our classroom instructor gives a series of lectures on a rotation basis throughout the weekend. We teach you in a classroom situation and reinforce that with on-track experience in your own car. Our instructors have been selected carefully and we are proud to say that they are the finest available.

Registration

Registration and Technical Inspection forms are distributed a couple of months before each event in the club newsletter. You can also download the forms from below. To open them, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

Before attending an on-track event, you are responsible for having your car inspected by a licensed mechanic. You are required to have them sign our Technical Inspection form to indicate that your car meets our safety requirements.

If you need further information, please contact the Registrar.

I"ve done many schools in the past with rental cars. LOL!

Highly recommend it to maXmembers.... you learn a lot (especially the guys that "think" they can drive well) and have tons of fun. 2-day weekend school consists of (split equally):

1)track time (Mosport full course)
2)classroom sessions
3)skidpad/autocross

Saturday evening buffet dinner included and the all-famous track walk.

Best way to spend $350!

^^^ no, this is one thing you need to sign up for ahead of time (lots of paper work). If you're interested, try and do it right away since there's only 5 days left. There are still 3 other schools going on this year, so if you can't make this one at least come out to Mosport on Sat or Sun to watch how it's run (and an opportunity to get some shotgun laps in fast cars). Spectator admission is free.

Yeah you can... the track applications allow you to join the club at the same time as you're paying for the school. I know 2 people that did this last year (my dad and Lori).

It's better to apply in advance - you may not get in if you wait to get to the track, and they sell out on Thursday.

And don't forget, you have to get a tech. inspection.

It's a damn shame that I don't have the money for this and my car isn't track-ready now either. Next time.
