1997 M3

ok, im looking to buy a 1997 M3 with 5 speed. its all stock, so i would like to get some info on it....and a buddy of mine is trying to get an e30. so can some1 tell me the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times on both of them please?

stock e36 m3 i think its 5.5 seconds (car and driver times)

e30 would be mid-6s I think

I've seen anywhere from 5.5s to 6.0s for an E36 M3. I'm betting the higher numbers are for the auto versions tested.

i've found the vast majority of sites to say 5.5 0-60MPH and 14.0 1/4 @ 97-98 MPH.

considering the cars only weigh about 31xx LBS, the power to weight ratio is not too bad.

well if your friends is lucky enough to find a 94' Euro car then its faster than the others. If he finds a 94' tell him to get that one over the 97'. The E30 the 2.3L i think cause i have one think it is a little slow its high reving but i think not there. If he wants to get a E30 M3 then look for a 1990 Evo3 which is a 2.5L which is crazy fast but hard to find
