how much insurance do you pay for your E39?

i wanna know how much you guys are paying for your insurance.
i have been driving for 12 years now with no accidents but i got 10 minor tickets within the last 3 years. 9 of them are coming off next feb. i'm paying A LOT of $$$$ right now because of those tickets but would like to know how much it's going to come down to. oh, if you can also recommand some insurance companies too, that'll be cool.

9 years of driving + 1 accident + 37 tickets = $6500(liability only) on a 98 540i

the ticket count would have been 43 if I didn't out run the cops 6 times, out of those 37 tickets 36 of them were for speeding & 1 for running a amber light, do you believe that shit, I got a ticket for running a yellow, the cop had nothing better to do that day, the best warning I ever got was when I was speeding up Yonge St. to get to the Burger King before it closed, I was going at least 125km/h, got pulled over, cop yelled at me & let me go

You are a prime example of why insurance rates are going up, and why the rest of us pay insane premiums etc... Thanks...for nothing.

it's not all drivers fault...
i think it's the insurance companies that are all scams.
we pay the one of the highest insurance anywhere in the world.
i'm sure there are worst drivers in LA and NY...and elsewhere.

I don't see how that's true, the insurance companies aren't losing any money off him, they're only gaining money, if he was claiming for lots of small accidents, then it would be another story.

I pay $1800 a year for full coverage on a 97 528i. 26 years or driving, currently with no tickets or accidents on my record.
I think that is too much. I live in the GTA now so that adds tothe cost. When I drove 200 KMs a day to work my insurance was cheaper.

The bottom line is that the more people that get caught speeding, the more premiums we all pay on a whole, and the higher the insurance rates go up, it's that simple. Just like reported accidents-the more, the worse for everyone. 37 tickets is a joke. I have no idea how he still has a licence. Luck is on his side...but for how long is the question.
