Front And Rear Sway Bar Installation

Well i know its been awhile since i posted on here, but i am back.Went away to the states for a bit to see if i really wanted to move down there. But here is my question.Does anyone know of any mechanics who can install front and rear sway bars on 97 540i for a good price.I called Enginered Automotive in concord(AKAINAN) for a quote and when they told me the price i nearly had a minor heart attack.I know Clarence(QUACK) knows alot of people.Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.

Hey Derrick what's up, since you are replacing the sway bars have you also looked into the sway bar brackets from beastpower http://www.beastpower.com/Merchant2/...s/TC-BE39-RSBB
they are much thicker & won't likely to break,
I'll ask my friends if they can install them for you, I would do it for you but my shop has weird hours for working on personal cars

Derrick, long time no see! Here's what i know about sway bars lol. The front sway is a major PITA. I looked into the eiback sway bar set but the front imo is just not economical to do. From what i Understand you need to lift the engine to get it in which requires 8-9hrs labour. So if you don't have a hook up then ur gunna get raped for labour. I am personally taking the route that most others take by adding just an OEM M5 rear swaybar that is relatively cheap and easy to install. Just my 2cents.
P.S.- if your still interested in doing the front then i know soeone with a brand new Oem M5 front sway bar for sale.
Take it easy man, good to see u back here
-Paul

Thanks for the reply guys,Quack what up buddy, i checked my mirrors and they are still attached to my car.Guess you were not able to send the boys out for them .About the brackets they cost to damn much, and i dont drive my car in the winter. So corrosion is not a factor other than rain. But if you have some boys that can install more than willing to send it,Paul thanks for the reply but i already bought my bars about a month ago.If you got that in formation about 8 or 9 hours fron dinan their full of s**t.I think i saw your dad driving you car over the winter.

What's up Derrick ... I've done the M5 Rear, takes about 30min ... you can do it yourself. I've checked around for the Front install and there are couple places that can do it, but the best quote I got was either $400 or $450(don't remember now) and for an extra mm of thickness, I personally don't it's worth it.

Paul,
Are you planning on being here hext weekend? pm me.
