have 1 sub and amp
hey i have 1 400W pioneer 10 inch sub in an enclosed box with a 250 W kenwood amp that i will be transfering into my bmw once i get it. What would be better to do try and get matching sub and amp and toss it into a dual box, and sell the old box, or sell the old box, sub and amp, and start out from scratch and get 2 10's and a box and 1 big amp?
what specs should i look for in the amp?

Well, you should be matching your sub and amp power, underpowering your sub is just as bad as overpowering it.

It all really depends on your budget, since you already have a 400w 10", then u could just go with a matcthing 400w amp to support it. And depending on how many channels the 250 is, you could use that for yoru speakers.

ERhmmmm... well, I don't know prices off the top of my head, but for those prices, I'd say you're looking at a set of JL10W0's

Fair enough. Why are you stuck on getting two drivers? One better one would cost less, take up less space, weigh less, and sound better (though maybe not louder). If you're just looking for SPL ignore this, I'm assuming you're looking for some sort of sound quality.
