Angry Driver door sticking....E46 coupe

Okay I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. I have a 2000 E46 323 ci and the driver door lately has been sticking. The door latch doesn't seem to want to release and I really have to yank on it sometimes to get it to open. It happens about 50% of the time and has progressively gotten worse over the last 6 months

Anyone know if this is just something that I can adjust or do I have to get a new latch assembly.

Help me Please
Preston

I lubricated the latch mechanism with some white lithium grease and it worked.
