o2 sensors
Correct me if I'm wrong but OBDI have 2 o2 sensors and OBDII have 4 o2 sensors, right?
I ask because I have a 95 325 engine that needs a new 02 sensor. Where can I get them from aside from the dealer?
Quack (Clarence) I owe you an apology! Got really tied up on the weekend...sorry!!

so there is only one 02 sensor for that motor? I assume that is located near the cat? Do you know how much they cost?

Try NAPA or BMA for a better price.
You should only need 1 o2 sensor.
OBD-I V8's have 2, and OBD-II cars have some after the cat also.
Euro M3's have 2, one for each bank of 3 cylinders.

I dont know about BMWs but the VW have 2 o2 sensors, least the 98 does. One in front of the cat and one behind it. I also dont know if BMW is picky like VW, but when we put after market parts on it it gave us problems. Stick with the original ones from the dealer, they might cost a bit more but will probably save you hassle later on.

Interesting post. Too bad we are talking about BMW's.
And as for parts from the dealership.........they are BOSCH parts. BMW puts them in thier own box, slaps a new part number on them, and then marks the product up.

My mechanic gets parts cheap from that place in Mississauga called Metrics. Contact Bimmersport because he can get parts from there too.

Yeah PM him and I bet if you did a search that you should be able to find a phone number if you need to get one right away.
