1988 Mazda 323 GTX Turbo (RARE!)
Well guys, it's time for my family to get rid of this wicked toy we've had for years and years now. Were looking to sell a few of our cars and buy something new.
It's a 1988 2 door AWD Mazda 323 GTX Turbo, which only 1,243 were sold in 1988/1989. It's black on Grey cloth with sport seats. Rear has fold downs. This is the rally car they used when they won the rally championships in those years back to back. This is like the modern day STi. You most likely won't find one of these for sale in better condition.
We've replaced parts here and there as needed, and basically rebuilt the engine. My dad is a tech and did all the work in our shop. It's probably done better then a Mazda tech would be able to do. This car is delicate though, it's not for daily driving what-so-ever. It should be kept and maintened like a toy.
If anyone is interested and wants more details, please send me your offer. No low balls please. Pics are below.

my buddy has one, but it isn't as good condition as the one in the pics, my friends used his as a rally car, strapped on a few high wattage rally lights & off he went

Oh damn, I've been looking for one of these for YEARS!
My wife is gonna kill me.
Please PM me your asking price and if you're willing to accept trades. I am currently in the process of selling my 1988 E30 325i 5-Speed Cabrio and I'd be more than happy to incorporate that into the deal if possible.

I don't want to ballpark it because some people will think I'm ****ed out of my mind, in which I probably am , but this car is truely a rare work of art. Let me know what you think it's worth!
There is very little rust, and I dont think any part of the engine has any. There is one little spot on the driver side quarter panel beside the wheel area. Nothing that can't be fixed!
As for mileage, there is 217,000 km on the body, and maybe 500 km (yes, 500!) on the engine since rebuild.
My dad received the control arm which he will be replacing as soon as possible.
The only problem we haven't fixed is the speedometer. This is really the only problem I think with the car. It doesn't read the actual speed, so while driving it just increases slowly and goes around until the end of it.
Honest to god, if I kept this car, I would do the following.
- Paint job
- Refinished rims
- Lowered
DONE! Any other mods are up to you, but those are the basics I would do and it would be one sweet Sunday driver.

The hype is the engine potential (my friend has a 400+hp version of the same car and it didn't cost much to bring it up there). It's AWD. It's SMALL and LIGHT. It's STICK. It looks like a granny-mobile and the cops won't look twice at it. It also handles amazingly (quite neutral in my friend's setup). I've been wanted one since I drove my friend's GTX just over 5 years ago. It's also VERY rare.
WICKED little car.
