E30 Sunroof panel

ROB89M3, when you say sunroof panel, is that the entire sunroof, or just the outside body-metal portion? The sunroof on my 89 325ix is rusting and some parts (hinges?) have rusted completely off, preventing the roof from opening/closing properly. Please let me know either way. Thanks!

It is just the metal panel.How bad is the rust ?

Does the panel have what looks like hinges attached? There's sub-surface rust bubbling all over but more importantly these hinges I mention fell off not too long ago and now my roof sags really bad when closed (one back corner sits about 1" below the roof line).

If the panel isn't going to help, then I suppose I'll need a complete sunroof assembly.

Anybody parting out an E30?

here is a quick pick...It has very minor surface rust that can be sandblasted away.

That looks interesting. Is there any rust forming around the hinges? Ideally, I'm looking for a red one, but I'll definitely keep yours in mind if I can't find exactly what I want any time soon.
