i was wondering the same thing, i wonder how much they weigh? as ugly as they are, they could be the next big thing in performance , that is if they weight a substancial amount less than your conventional rim and tire setup

There is NO WAY that these tires are any less weight then normal ones. If anything, these would be heavier.

Once they put the side walls on, that is.

No matter what, these tires have to be heavier. I can imagine the would make tires with different rubber durometers and spoke thicknesses to accomidate for different vehicle weights. The skidsteer(Bobcat) machine in the other thread weighs about 8000lbs, where as the Audi is probably around 3300lbs.
