318is...m3 motor?

hey all

my buddy has 99 m3 and ever since I first saw it I've wanted an e36 3 series, I found a 318is that needs an engine, I was wondering how hard it'd be to swap in a m3 straight 6?

thanks alot for any help, Eric

yes they come in 2dr

best bet is to get a 325 because it has better suspension and such, if you get a manual you can use that transmission with the M motor

basically you will need the motor, and complete wiring harness as well as the ECU if you get a 325

if you go with a 318 you will need a new rad, brakes, suspension, pretty much everything will need to be beefed up

To do a motor swap, you need to find a wrecked M3 and use all of the machanical parts from it. The most important would be the wiring harnes.
