What audio deck are you currently using?
Just curious how many people have aftermarket decks in their cars... if so, how many are TV/DVD and MP3 (or tape).
I've got:
Porsche -Alpine CDA-7998 (MP3)
Outback/smart - Alpine CDA-7897 (MP3)

Now-a-days you can pick up the 7998 for around $850.00. And even that's pushing the question "is it really worth that much?" considering the cool stuff that just came on the market. Back-in-the-day it sold for $1200.00 (MSRP $1398) which was crazy, but for the audiophile that's anal about sound quality and built-in crossover tuning for competition use (ie: spends $6000.00+ on ICE) it's pretty much a requirement. My DLS-audio sponsor hooked me up, so I got it for almost nothing. I highly recommend the current CDA-9835 deck... awsome overall package and was next on my list (for the price).
note: The 7998 doesn't have an internal amp.

i have a alpine of some sort and it does the job very nicely. I Find it unreasonable spending 500+ for a deck IMO.
