These are my 9005 converted bulbs to work in the 9006 socket there 4200k but there blue I was just wondering if this was the shade of blue or darker is what your looking for?

^no not really but thank you for posting the pic anyways. I met with Bruce yesterday to see his 8000k and they are blue. 4300K is no where near that in real life... in pics maybe but definately not in real life.

Mine look kind of blue in pics but in real life, they are more white looking so a lot of the images are obscured in pics.

anyone have a pic of 10000k in a E36 stock housing. will you get pulled over because they are too blue and is it legal? also what is the bulb for low-beams in the stock E36 housing. are the bulbs the same in the stock housing and euro head lights?

The bulbs in the stock us headlight are 9006... euro ellipsoids are conventionally an H1 bulb. two totally different bulbs.
10000K would probably look more purple than blue and most likely and cop shouldnt pull you over... not in etobicoke anyways cause Im in etobicoke and never was really bothered.

^^^ I think so too. On the new facelifted X5s the 10 000k are kinda purpleish not blue to me.

Tony, its just a bad photo, they won't light up the road(i know you weren't serious). They are the same DDE's as mine, I think you saw them.

low_bmw, using HID on NA spec headlights isn't really a good idea. 10000k is too blue/purple and prolly will get you pulled over more than usual. I got 6000k and never gotten pulled over for them, but you gotta remember, HIDs are illegal on our cars, so I would stay away from the unneccessary attention.

Ivan, X5 doesn't use 10000k HID's
