Max members, need your help in a car decision...
As some of you know the bimmer will be sold pretty soon...maybe a month or more, time will tell... since the e90 is coming out...
Im looking for a car basically the same price that we will be able to sell the bmw...up to 25-28k ...
im pretty sure the 350z has come out of the ruling, and we narrowed it down to 2... (obviously i would like you guys to suggest others and comment on the ones i have suggested please...)
#1: Dodge SRT-4 (Range from 23-28k... thats our price range at least.)
2.4-litre 4-cylinder Intercooled Turbo
230 BHP (fwd )
250 (lb-ft) torque
NVG T850 Heavy-Duty 5-speed manual – Quaife limited-slip differential
High-performance, lowered, with Tokico struts and rear stabilizer bar
AC, Fogs,
optional Kicker/Livin' Loud AM/FM 6-disc CD, 178-W, nine speakers
#2: BMW Z3 (Range from 17-25k... )
i think i got the right info for it..this is the 2.8..and theres also 1.9.
(btw is there a difference in the engine specs between coupe and roadster?)
2.8 liter DOHC 24-valve inline-6
193 bhp @ 5500 rpm
206 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm
z3 raodster/coupe

As much as the SRT-4 is fast....is there really a question as to which one of those two you should buy? Unless you need 4 doors, but then there are otehr BMW's you can buy!

i know what you mean man, a bmw will always stay a bmw...no question about it...and i love the fact its a roadster/vert, and interior.
but performance wise....srt4 is quite a good car for its price.

no doubt about it, I have driven them, and they fly, but it's still a no brainer for me!

Good luck trying to find a Z3 coupe. (US only)
For that price range, go for an E36 m3.
But if it had to be the two, definately go with the SRT. Best bang for the buck!

Thanks julian, iv been looking around the whole day...
but wer mainly looking for something new...i just looked at the s4, and its too much for the KM's passed....
the only m3 thats in the range with decent KM's...is
a 98 for 16$ ..with 120k on it
which im a bit skeptical about why it is so cheap...
how do u think this would be insurance wise, (if a parent will be first driver)..
comparing lets say an m3 with an srt4?

Also, S2000 Could be a consideration...
Horsepower (SAE net @rpm)
240@7800
Torque (lb.-ft.@rpm)
162@6500

I say neither of them.. if you are gonna get the new e90, get a used jap. car for the time being until you get the new bmw.. I told this to you brother as well.. imo, the srt4 will depreciate too much in that year or so..
but then again, that's my opinion..

hehe if you get the z3 you will not be able to use it to carry around ppl. maximum 2. but the regular z3's can be driven regularly i've seen them downtown all the time being driven by execs hehe.
Also, the z3 coupe like most of them say is hard to find specially in canada. Your better off finding them from the states and the price will be the same as a e36 m3.
if you ask me, fun car, everyday driver, grocerry getter as long as you buy only few items lol i would take the z3. but if you want the extra 4 seats at the back, cheap trills here and there.. get the srt4.
