True. My setup is around $2500 at retail. I've paid less than $1000.

I know i paid alot, and when i got priced in the summer it was over $1k than what I paid now. These were the best prices I found, please feel free to fill me in where I can buy it for cheaper. I apologize I dont know anyone in the audio buisness to give me great deals such as yourself.

Have you tried KHF? I know they are known to be expensive(!!!) but they take to negotiating quite well. Especially when you're buying so much.

I spent approx $2400 on my system as well but I did it over a period of time, so it didn't feel like so much.

Its worth a lil more.

To E24 635csi:

I don't know if you can return all that gear or not, but if so I can help you out.

I work part time at a car-audio shop. (It's been a long time hobby/sideline)
The shop is AutoWorks, at 400 Eastern Ave. (Eastern just E of Broadview) in Downtown Toronto. (416) 469-5997
We are a JL dealer, as well as Alpine, Nak, Clarion, Kenwood, Phoenix Gold, JBL, Infinity, Earthquake, US Amps, Morel, etc.
If you're stuck on the MB Quarts, we can get them too, although I'd recommend Morels instead.
I know we can do better on pricing than that.
*Insert bad furniture store jingle here*
PM me or call the shop and I'll work it out. If I'm not in, talk to Colin (the owner)

End shameless plug.

Griff, what's the best 2-channel amp (2x50W RMS min into 4ohm) that you can get me for under $200?

The only thing in that price range is the Earthquake 300.2. It's 150W x 2 at 4 ohms, and has a variable x-over. It's right around the two bill mark, plus taxes. Anything cheaper would have to be used.
