97 m3 anyday, and it wasn't til 2002 or so i think that the is300 came in manual anyway

does he care about the interior, I personally think that the IS300 interior is crap, made by Fisher Price nothing but plastic

Rwd

IS300 is RWD. And as someone already stated, it was until the later years that it came in a 5spd. Nice looking car with excellent handling and brakes.

Still my vote goes for the older M3.

depends if hes a driver adn wants a drivers car then go for the m3 but if he wants a car to cruise in then go for the lexus cuz its newer and gives u a good package for what u pay. and i been in and driven a lexus its a nice car but doesnt seem to me like a drivers car and it was manual also

The IS300 is nice, however the fit, finish and "wow" factor undeniably goes to the M3
