Talking joined today

hello all~

along with MTRD, Gamite and others, I came from the BMWPlanet. I wonder if I can post as much as I do there, but I'll try.

my ride is Brilliant Red '98 318ti with Active package. no mods, all stock for now.

i just spent about an hour this afternoon, doing a little custom painting on my baby: side moldings, bumper strip, rear apron, trunk handle. additionally, put on the clear corners all around, got rid of the antenna, put 17 inch wheels on, and tinted the rear windows

and oh, the red roundels, too.
Gamite knows how I do all this in one sitting.

hehe, I knew you were around.

I'm just trying out new things I learned during last few days. I just fell in love with photoshop.

Here's another one, which isn't completed yet. the usual along with the wider rear tires, custom painted front FACTORY bumper*devil*

btw, nice work here, Gamite. I especially like the sweet sigs.
way to go~

I live in Toronto, Ontario. Mine is a 96 Active. So far I'm concentrating mostly on interior mods, and saving for DASC.

Since April I've done:

-Colored body panels.
-Clears at the front and sides
-Chrome grill
-Wooden dash kit from WoodDashFactory.com(really nice)
-Lighted ///M shifter
-Changed the shift boot to a black leather one
-Leather e-brake handle from e46
-Leather e-brake boot from e46
-Kenwood Mp3 player
-Alarm

I'm keeping the mods to a minimum right now till I pay it off.(a couple of months left only ).

wow, LonelyTi, you do have your bumper strips painted~! nice

those images are touched up with Photoshop. I haven't done them just yet. i just wanted to see how it would look if I painted mine to match the body paint. I guess it looks pretty good.

DASC, eh? have you talk to Bryan(MTRD)? he used it before, and he may have a thing or two to tell you. I've thought about putting it on my car, but I'm pulling myself away from the idea of Forced Induction, since it will wear out the engine faster. I'm leaning toward N/A mod's now. cams, intake and alike.

as far as minor mod's done to my car:
1. brushed aluminum dash
2. aluminum pedals (i still need a drill)
3. arm rest w/ integrated cup holder
4. Aiwa MP3 player (on its way)
5. SAAB trunk handle
6. CoolBlue bulbs (Low beam only)
7. UUC Big Boy clutch stop

I'm planning to go see the 2002 Toronto Auto Show in Feburary. I really want to see other bimmer enthusiasts there. I guess I'll get to see your car, along with MTRD, Gamite, MP and many others. definately worth 2.5 hours of drive *devil*

Well,

On the ti mailing list, there are guys with more than 50k supercharged miles on their ti's. So realibility isn't really an issue. Plus I don't plan to keep my car forever with all the snow/salt here in Toronto.

Also a ti with DASC walks on stock 328 without problems, with M3 flywheel(lightened) it comes very close to the acceleration of a stock M3. So we will see. I should have enough money in april/may, then it should be a blast.
