i have seen nothing but mtechII, so, just wondering. is it for the cars pre 88, or is it a different variation of the II.

so what does it fit, the plastic or aluminum bumpers? i dont really know about bodykits, they are not performance oriented. basically want to get a body kit for an 85 car, but not going to go through the hassle of putting plastic bumper, i dont think i have the patience.

accually, i have seen cars that originally had alum bumps, and then they put aftermarket body kits on, and the bumpers looked like plastic ones, whats up with that, are they not running bumpers, or do they usually go ahead with the plastic swap?

Mtech 1 does NOT fit either...(plastic or aluminum bumpers). For that you need the early type Euro bumpers, which are also hard to find an $$$...

On NickP's car the chrome is painted red, so you cant even notice...looks like one piece...

^ I think he molded the MTech1 piece to the bumper, thats what it looks like in the pic.

To answer ur question, to put on a bodykit, you'll need a rebar with the bumper shocks from an 88+ e30 i believe, and the kit bumper is then fitted over that. You dont actually need the plastic bumper part.

^not sure, i think so tho, i dont see why it would be different from the front. of course its all for safety reasons, if you want im sure there are ways to attach the bumpers without it, but in case of an accident, ur pretty much toast
