Factory BMW Wheel Locks..

Now, iv noticed that all bmws have 1 lock that differents it from the other 4...

Anyway, every new bmw seems to have the same design.. (Japanese makes use McGuard key locks..).....

Do all bmws have the same 1 lock? that'd be kind of dumb and pointless i assume?

Is this question for real?? are you seriously dumb enough to believe that a theft can go to BMW pay for a set of wheel locks and take off all the rims at the dealership. Stop assuming

Last time I checked there were 25 different patterns available for the BMW wheel locks. The number is stamped on the top of each "key". I have 4 different sets myself.

No, a thief doesn't need to go to BMW to steal the wheels...

He can simply get a lugnut/locknut remover set for $45 and steal any wheel he wants. And most of them have them too...

You buy five (or eight, depending on the kind of wheels you want to steal) of one specific kind (or sets) and just use a speed-handle ratchet to get it threaded on, then a torque wrench to break the torque load, then use the speed handle again... Anyone with half a brain in the theft world should know this.

How do I know? Try taking wheels off of a car that the owner lost wheel locks for without an air compressor. Takes a while though.

If I was going for speed it would probably take me about two minutes per wheel... If I had enough puller sockets, I could do a whole car in 10 minutes tops...

If you had four guys you could do it in three or less.
