Anyone have a PhatNoise in their bimmer?

Hey, i was looking for a good mp3 player and I came across PhatNoise. I was reading their site and they say they are compatible with 99 e46 bimmers which is good but I went on some boards and found out that PhatNoise discontinued their support for bimmers in Novemember. Anyone know any info on this?

If you mean like an indash player, why don't you get a

Kenwood
JVC
Aiwa
Sony

or some other name-brand unit? I'm not car audio guy, some maybe someone will chime in and say that one of those brands are terrible and you should avoid them like the plague.

No i dont want an indash player. I dont whanna ruin the looks of the inside

I liked the idea of installing the mp3 player in the trunk and it is then hooked up to the bmw audio system and u can use the stock dash to control it.

I think the deck would look better than the stock, plus, you can g et a wire adaptor so you dont need to cut any wires and everything will work perfectly.

The Phatnoize was sold to Kenwood. My suggestion is if you want to put one of those in, then get a compatible kenwood head unit.

two of my friends have phatnoizes and i am very envious of them. That's a sick setup. but for the $1400 it'll set you back, i'd rather ditch the heavy stereo equipment and throw it into suspension and performance upgrades.

but what do i know? I'm still rolling around in my old n' busted E30
